Associate, Executive and Board Secretary Services

Who we are

Vaekstkapital is a Danish group of companies focusing on alternative investments. In just a few years, it has grown into one of Denmark’s leading providers of alternative investment funds – developing, structuring and managing investment solutions within real estate, credit and fintech, with the aim of creating attractive long-term returns for investors.

VK Administration delivers governance, financial and administrative services to the funds and companies established by Vaekstkapital – with a focus on quality, efficiency and long-term relationships. Our Management Services function covers two areas: CFO Services and Executive and Board Secretary Services.

Executive and Board Secretary Services is a team of four within VK Administration. We support boards, management and shareholders across a wide range of fund and corporate structures – each with its own set-up, stakeholders and requirements.

Why you’ll enjoy working here

We are a young organisation with short decision paths, high professional standards and an entrepreneurial mindset. That means a dynamic everyday life where your ideas are heard – and a real chance to be part of a growth journey.

You will work closely with your three teammates and share an office with the rest of the management services functions – around 10 colleagues in total. Expect a down-to-earth tone and plenty of room for a laugh.

Your tasks follow the boards' needs – from board packs, minutes and resolutions to coordinating with auditors, lawyers and authorities, onboarding new board members, supporting the set-up of new funds and companies, and handling general ad hoc matters. You will build a broad palette of experience and enjoy a varied, dynamic workday.

About the role

Do you want real responsibility from day one – and a front-row seat to how investment funds are governed?

As Associate in Executive and Board Secretary Services, you take ownership of your own portfolio of funds and companies. You make sure board and shareholder work runs smoothly – accurately, on time and in line with applicable requirements – and you become a trusted point of contact for board members, management and advisers.

The role is international. Today the portfolio spans Denmark, Sweden, Austria and Luxembourg, and new jurisdictions are added as Vaekstkapital establishes new funds at home and abroad. You will build broad experience across several legal and regulatory environments – experience that is hard to come by elsewhere.

The role also includes travel with the boards: at least once a year to see the assets on site visits, and to the annual in-person board meeting in each board’s home country.

You will have a high degree of freedom to plan your own day and set your priorities, while being part of a team where knowledge-sharing, quality and integrity come first.

What you’ll do

  • Own a portfolio of fund and company entities and act as their governance point of contact
  • Plan, coordinate and prepare materials for board and shareholder meetings
  • Draft agendas, minutes and resolutions to a high professional standard
  • Handle annual filings and support policy reviews and compliance tracking
  • Maintain accurate governance records and documentation
  • Help develop our processes and tools as the team grows
  • Support your portfolio of funds on annual travel occasions around Europe

Who you are

We imagine that you:

  • Hold a relevant degree in law, business or administration
  • Have experience from corporate governance, a corporate secretarial role or similar
  • Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, it is preferred if you speak German as well
  • Are structured and detail-oriented – quality is your standard, not an afterthought
  • Are proactive and take ownership of your deadlines and tasks
  • Enjoy working with many different people – from board members to external advisers – and have an outgoing style
  • Are comfortable working with digital governance platforms
  • Are happy to travel occasionally to board or shareholder meetings in Denmark and elsewhere in Europe

What we offer

A young, growing and ambitious organisation with a professional yet informal culture – where collaboration, responsibility and mutual support matter.

  • Your own portfolio and real responsibility in an international setting
  • Broad, hands-on experience across fund structures and European jurisdictions
  • Professional and personal development as the department grows
  • Flexible working hours and the option to work from home
  • A close-knit team and friendly, down-to-earth colleagues
  • Competitive salary, pension and benefits in line with your qualifications and experience
