Developing and manufacturing optical components for the constant growing AI, telecom and datacenter markets we are in urgent need of an Optical Test and Measurement Engineer, who’s main task is to measure and verify the produced optical chips. Are you our new colleague?

The Job

We are looking for a test and measurement engineer to be a part of our T&M operation. Ignis Photonyx produces optical waveguide components, mainly AWG’s in our ISO class 5 cleanroom. In the T&M lab there are 5 setups operated by operators almost 24/7. These setups are home made by using standard optical parts and is controlled by our own developed LabVIEW, Python and C# code. The daily tasks range from operator support, over equipment error handling, to development new test methods.

Key Tasks

Keeping test setups within calibration, and configurated to the required product
Develop and maintain our LabVIEW code and data system
Optical measurements and experimental test setups
Programming and software development, e.g. LabVIEW, Python or C#
Test automation, instrument control and data acquisition
Data handling and analysis
A hands-on approach to building and troubleshooting experimental setups.

You are

We expect you to be strong in experimental work and have good theoretical insight. You may hold a M.Sc. with a relevant profile of optics, physics or LabVIEW. Skills in fiber optical test and measurement are desirable. Preferably, you will also have skills in the following areas:

Optical measurements and experimental test setups
Programming and software development, e.g. LabVIEW, Python or C#
Test automation, instrument control and data acquisition
Data handling and analysis
A hands-on approach to building and troubleshooting experimental setups
Working experience from a high-tech manufacturing company will be an advantage
English language at a professional level both written and oral
Familiarity with Danish language will be an advantage.
