Tandoori Restaurant brings authentic North Indian & Pakistani flavors to the heart of the city with charcoal-fired tandoor specialties, freshly ground spices, and tasty vegetarian and vegan options in a warm, modern setting.

We’re hiring 5 Independent Working Chef-I to run the kitchen, prepare tandoori and curry dishes to high standards, manage prep and stock, and ensure food safety - proven experience with tandoor/Indian cuisine and strong kitchen leadership required. Competitive pay, flexible hours, supportive team.

Role: Independent working Chef -I

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Independently prepare lunch and dinner dishes
  • Carry out mise en place and other preparatory tasks (cutting, mixing, portioning)
  • Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes
  • Apply and comply with HACCP and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory: ordering, receiving, and checking products
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workspaces
  • Contribute ideas for recipes, menu updates, and more efficient processes
  • Supervising compliance with regulations and the work of the assistants

We Are Looking for Someone Who

  • Holds an MBO level 3 diploma of work and thinking level MBO 3
  • Has strong technical culinary knowledge and skills
  • Shows initiative and can work independently
  • Can handle stress and peak busy periods effectively
  • Functions well within the dynamics of a restaurant team
  • Speaks Dutch or English
  • Is enthusiastic, dedicated, and eager to learn
