UMag Solutions is a High-Tech company founded in Copenhagen in 2018, as a spin-out company from DTU Space. We develop, operate, and sell drone magnetic solutions, based on our in-house developed and patented technologies.
Our intent is to be the leading provider of drone magnetic turnkey solutions, and push the boundaries for what is possible, both within the technological and operational aspects of drone magnetic demining. Our primary focus is drone magnetic land and naval mine detection, where our field-proven V2Mag and F1Mag systems are currently the leading detection solutions for both sensitivity, flexibility, and user friendliness.
Job Description
We are looking for a person with the right attitude, experience, and skills, to join our operations team in the role of Field operations specialist.
The primary task will be to support, and take part in, our drone operations. This including planning and execution of drone magnetic survey operations, piloting and operating our drone magnetic survey systems and training both external and internal operators of our drone magnetic systems. The position also includes tasks related to testing and preparing equipment for operations, including performing any necessary planned or unplanned equipment maintenance.
This position also includes a significant portion of outdoor fieldwork, both locally and abroad.
Qualifications
As a Field operations specialist, your qualifications should ideally include:
- Direct professional experience with field operations.
- Practical experience with using and maintaining field equipment.
- Experience with planning and executing training courses.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in all weather conditions.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing plans and schedules.
- Some sort of drone experience (for example drone pilot experience)
- Willing and ready to travel internationally (typically 35–50 days per year).
- Comfortable working with defence customers and in operational environments.
- The ability to think on the spot and adapt to unexpected challenges / on-the-ground conditions.
- A solution-oriented, can-do attitude, and a structured working method.
- Willing to undergo any necessary background checks to obtain relevant security clearances.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Written and oral English at a professional level.
Valued additional qualifications and experience:
- A background in, or experience working with, the armed forces.
- A background in, or experience working with, explosive ordinance detection and/or disposal.
- A background in, or general knowledge of, magnetic detection technology.

- You actively contribute to our internal processes with your ideas and critical thinking.

Salary is offered according to qualifications. The position is permanent and full-time.
Our primary location is in Birkerød, Denmark, with a test area a short distance away.
We speak a combination of Danish and English at the office.
