NMD Pharma is entering an exciting phase of growth and advancement. We are looking for a Communication Director to lead and ensure the effectiveness and relevance of our corporate and strategic communications across internal and external audiences.

Reporting to the SVP Corporate and Commercial Strategy, this role is part of the Extended Leadership Team (ExtLT) and has direct people management responsibility.

You will play a central role in defining how NMD Pharma communicates its goals, strategy, science, progress, and culture — ensuring clarity, consistency, appropriateness, efficiency and impact across stakeholders.

The Role

As Communication Director, you will drive the overall communication strategy for NMD Pharma. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and collaborate cross-functionally across R&D, Clinical, People & Culture, Patient Advocacy, Investor Relations, and Executive Leadership.

You will lead one direct report and oversee the partnership with our external communications agency, ensuring professional execution and strong media positioning.

This role combines strategic direction with hands-on execution and requires both a strong business understanding and the ability to translate complex science, corporate strategy, and product strategy into clear and compelling narratives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute NMD Pharma’s integrated corporate communication strategy aligned with company priorities, leading to identifying objectives for priority audiences and communication channels.
  • Lead development of high-quality information, including corporate website content, press releases, patient-focused content, leadership messaging, thought leadership articles, media interactions/plans, and communications. Ensure alignment and consistency across internal and external communication channels.
  • Manage collaboration with external communications agency and media partners.
  • Contribute actively to strengthening NMD Pharma’s internal communication culture and engagement.
  • Monitor the external biotech, investor, and media landscape to proactively guide communication.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in communications, journalism, life sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Significant experience and success in strategic communications within biotech, pharma, or a life science agency environment. Experience and success with communication strategy development and execution in the USA is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Experience advising senior leadership and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent writing and editorial skills with the ability to translate scientific and strategic topics into clear and impactful communication.
  • Professional fluency in English required; Danish is an advantage but not mandatory.

Location

The position can be based in Aarhus or Copenhagen, with flexibility to work partly remote.
