IT Manager – Systems and digital development

At NMD Pharma, we are a growing biotech company with around 60 employees. As we scale, the complexity of our systems and regulatory requirements increases, and our IT landscape must support both scientific work and efficient operations in a simple, scalable, and compliant way.

Today, IT direction is defined internally and delivered together with external partners. What we are looking for now is someone who can help drive this forward, creating structure around initiatives, coordinating across the business, and ensuring that solutions are fully implemented and embedded in the organization.

You will report to the VP Finance & IT and work closely with colleagues across the organization. While infrastructure and specialist services are supported by external partners, you will take internal ownership of driving initiatives, challenging solutions, and maintaining momentum.

This is a hands-on role in a flat and collaborative organization where decisions are made close to business and execution matters.

Your responsibilities

IT roadmap and digital development

• Contribute to developing and maintaining NMD Pharma’s IT and digitalization roadmap in close collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization.
• Translate business needs into structured IT initiatives and practical implementation plans.
• Ensure new solutions fit sensibly into our overall IT set-up and support future growth without adding unnecessary complexity.

IT initiatives and implementation

• Drive internal IT initiatives from initial dialogue to solutions that are implemented and working in practice.
• Coordinate stakeholders, vendors, and consultants to ensure progress and clear accountability.
• Support structured documentation and validation in collaboration with QA in our regulated environment.

Vendor collaboration and technical ownership

• Act as the primary internal technical point of reference.
• Challenge and guide external IT partners to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and commercially sound.

IT operations and governance

• Oversee day-to-day IT operations in collaboration with external partners.
• Ensure stable and secure digital working environments.
• Contribute to strengthening data governance and maintaining a compliant and audit-ready IT setup.

What you bring

• Experience from a role such as IT Manager, IT Lead, or IT Project Manager or similar in a small or mid-sized organization.
• A solid technical foundation and understanding of modern IT environments and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience working with external IT vendors and consultants.
• Ability to translate business needs into structured and fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Confidence to question and challenge technical proposals when needed.
• A structured, execution-focused mindset and strong follow-up skills.
• Fluency in English (Danish is an advantage).
• Experience from a regulated industry (life science, pharma, biotech) is an advantage but not a requirement.

You take ownership naturally and are comfortable working across functions. You enjoy combining technical insight with practical coordination and are motivated by helping things move forward.
