Warehouse Manager

Are you an experienced warehouse manager and passionate about leading a warehouse team from scratch?

We are seeking a professional DK Warehouse Manager to join our team near CPH airport to support the Warehouse Department at our company. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient, safe, and accurate handling of inbound and outbound goods. This includes leadership of warehouse teams and optimization of operational processes such as truck offloading, ULD breakdown, pallet building, and truck loading. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader with proven experience in airport first-line (airside) cargo warehouse operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in performance, productivity, and safety. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence, compliance, and service quality within the airport cargo environment.

What you'll do

1. Warehouse Operations Management

• Plan, organize, and oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order preparation, and dispatch.
• Ensure timely and accurate truck offloading, ULD breakdown, pallet building, and truck loading.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes to optimize space, labor, and equipment utilization.
• Maintain compliance with safety, security, and quality standards.

2. Inventory and Quality Control

• Monitor inventory accuracy through regular audits and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper documentation and verification of all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Manage product handling, packaging, and storage according to company and customer requirements.

3. Team Leadership and Development

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of supervisors and warehouse staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Set clear performance goals and monitor progress through regular evaluations and feedback.
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills, safety awareness, and productivity.

4. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve turnaround times.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Logistics, Planning, Customer Service) to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

5. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure warehouse operations comply with all company policies and local regulations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example in maintaining a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness drills.

Who you are

• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, including leadership of a large or complex operation.
• Hands-on experience in airport first-line (airside) cargo warehouse operations is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including truck offloading, ULD breakdown, pallet building, and truck loading.
• Proven experience in people management, process improvement, and performance monitoring (KPIs).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in both Danish and English

Working location: Kystvejen 30, 2770 Kastrup, Denmark.

Job Type: Full-time.

Pay: 55.000,00 kr. - 65.000,00 kr. per month based on experience and qualifications

Denmark: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
