
Customer IT, Application specialist
Are you ready to combine your IT expertise with a strong customer focus? In this role, you will take full responsibility for supporting all Customer IT activities across our local Axlab teams and Automation Distributors. You’ll be a trusted expert ensuring smooth integration between our product portfolio and customer systems — delivering excellence in every interaction. You will work closely with customers and our Field Application, Sales, and Service teams to provide professional IT support as well as pre- and post-sales assistance. Your contributions will help to increase customer satisfaction and enable the successful adoption of our products.
Who are we
Through “Your Vision. Our Inspiration” we create real impact implementing innovation that matters creating tomorrow’s pathology labs. Axlab distributes and supplies advanced medical equipment and consumables with a focus on pathology to laboratories and hospitals in primarily Europe and the USA. Currently, Axlab distributes products for 21 suppliers, 12 of which are considered important strategic partners. In addition, Axlab produces BiopSafe biopsy containers, which ensure efficient handling of formalin in connection with biopsies in hospitals and clinics. We are approx. 60 colleagues, more than half of whom are located at the headquarter in Vedbæk. The rest are engaged in sales and sales enablement in Europe and the USA.
You will make an impact by
- Being the highest-level IT competence to support products / solutions
- Being our specialist in contact with local IT vendors to ensure good quality connections to our products and to steer IT development together with such vendors
- Work closely with Sales, Service, Marketing, RA/QA etc. to develop and to bring new products and product features to the market and to secure qualified complaint handling
- Oversee the area and prepare IT application team meetings with relevant stakeholders (e.g. customers, marketing, sales, service) to discuss high level IT product processes
- Work closely with Axlab Direct Sales and Automation Distributors to support with staff training, product demonstrations, act as a trusted expert for our customers and to support with first reference account set-up
- Network with customers and provide feedback to relevant colleagues on customer requirements for product enhancements and new IT applications for new products
- Represent Axlab at trade shows and vendor shows presenting company products etc.
- Maintain scientific knowledgebase, staying updated on scientific trends in IT within Pathology, Histology and advancements in the industry.
What you bring
You’re an experienced IT supporter, preferably from hospital or clinical settings. You understand the value of customer experience, and you possess the desire to find solutions that will secure high degree of customer satisfaction. You thrive in cross-cultural environments and are passionate about your profession.
We imagine that you have 3–5 years of experience in IT with focus on:
- Databases
- Services
- Server setup
- PC updates
- PDAs
- Troubleshooting USB connections
- IT security
You are a strong team player who builds trust and fosters collaboration through clear and proactive communication. With the ability to lead through influence, you navigate challenges with a solution-oriented and pragmatic mindset yet compliant. You have a passion for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and always strive to deliver high-quality outcomes. You act with integrity, remain calm under pressure, and approach decision-making with confidence. You are fluent in both English and Danish, written and spoken.
