Software Developer for Innovative Lighting

Software Developer - Desktop Application Development

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated software developer to join our team in developing and enhancing desktop applications for configuration and data visualization. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex solutions in a professional environment, with significant influence over technology choices and system architecture.

About the Position

As a software developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of applications built with C# and WPF. The role also includes integrating applications with APIs, developing cloud solutions in Azure, and creating data visualizations.

You will be an important member of a team in close collaboration with the embedded developers, you will contribute to creating user-friendly and reliable tools that support the company’s operations.

If you have an interest in embedded development, there will also be opportunities to contribute in that area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain desktop applications using C# and WPF
  • Design data models and databases using object-oriented programming principles
  • Integrate applications with external APIs and cloud solutions (Azure)
  • Participate actively in architectural and technology decisions
  • Collaborate with development teams in an agile setup using Jira and Kanban
  • Optional involvement in embedded software development

Qualifications

We expect that you:

  • Have experience in developing with C# and WPF
  • Are familiar with Azure (or eager to learn)
  • Have a solid understanding of OOP and database design
  • Work in a structured and independent manner with a focus on quality
  • Possess good collaboration skills and thrive in an agile development environment

Additional advantages:

  • Experience with Git and Jira
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite

Experience from a related industry is an advantage but not a requirement. Both recent graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.

About the Team

You will join a development department consisting of 3–4 software developers, most of whom work with embedded software. This provides the opportunity to work at the intersection of hardware and software, while also having a strong influence on the department’s technological direction.

Working Conditions

  • Location: Aarhus (primarily onsite, with the option for occasional remote work)
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Travel: Limited, but some travel should be expected
