BI & Application Developer

We are looking for an Operational BI & Application Developer for our site in Holeby.

Job Mission

This role embodies UBS’s continuous improvement through transparent data usage and smart operational tools. The Operational BI & Application Developer will play a key role in enhancing decision-making and streamlining processes by developing Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and lightweight operational applications to support end-to-end business performance.

Result Areas

Operational department Across all UBS Sites, Mainly BE, DK (sub support FR, IT, UA, SE, USA)

Primary Tasks

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize BI reports and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and implement AI tools into business processes.
  • Translate business challenges into actionable digital solutions and measurable KPIs that improve efficiency, quality and user satisfaction in UBS.
  • Build and maintain small-scale operational applications and tools to support internal workflows.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify data needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure data integrity and accessibility across systems.
  • Support automation of manual processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide end-user support and training for BI tools and custom applications.
  • Be a key stakeholder in business process optimization, from define phase to implementation, leveraging data to drive operational excellence.
  • Lead and deploy cross-functional improvement projects as a data/technology expert.

Effective communication skills is essential to coordinate projects in our company's various global departments.

Success criteria

The main department goal is, beyond significantly boosting and driving innovation throughout the organization, also to do it in an environmentally sustainable and financial self-sustainable manner.

Scope & Accountabilities

Being able to plan, execute, and manage development of applications and BI. You have a good understanding of processes and functions in a manufacturing environment, where you can identify and execute potential optimizations projects.

Problem-Solving Abilities: You'll need to identify inefficiencies and other issues, and develop solutions to address them.

Teamwork and Collaboration: You’ll work closely with various departments, so the ability to work with teams across a global organization is important.

Collaborate through regular strategic reviews, performance monitoring, and structured communication, ensuring projects deliver value while maintaining operational excellence.

Traveling

As UBS has sites in SE, DK, BE, US among others, you must expect to be visiting sites across EU, with an estimated traveling of around 20 days a year.

Skills & Expertise

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience developing with PowerApps and automating processes using Power Automate.
  • Strong skills in Excel, including Power Query and VBA.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 AI tools and general O365 ecosystem (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Outlook integration).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data modeling concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly and effectively.

  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
