Data-Driven Student Analyst

Are you a curious and motivated student with a passion for data, clean energy and real-world business impact? Do you want hands-on experience with data-driven decision-making in one of the most dynamic sectors – renewable energy?

We are looking for a Student Analyst to join our Commercial Asset Management team, where you will support Power Management and Investment Management with data processes, automation and insights that help drive the performance of our utility-scale solar PV portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a renewable energy company in a role where you can grow your technical skills, contribute to the green transition and become part of a highly collaborative and purpose-driven workplace. Better Energy Management provides services across asset management, EPC management and project development. Our total portfolio comprises around 2 GWp of installed solar energy capacity.

Your role

You will be part of the Commercial Asset Management team, working closely with experienced professionals in Power Management and Investment Management. Your role will focus on supporting data-driven workflows and reporting processes that are essential for understanding the performance and profitability of our energy assets.

You will work from our Copenhagen office, alongside other students and full-time professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We offer flexibility during exam periods and the potential for long-term collaboration as you progress through your studies.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include

  • Collecting, processing and analysing data from various internal and external sources.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, data models and code used across the organisation.
  • Reporting on and analysing the performance of our solar PV portfolio.
  • Conducting ad hoc analyses to support decision-making in areas such as power market trends, pricing and investment performance.
  • Contributing to the automation and continuous improvement of data pipelines, reporting structures and internal processes.

Who you are

You are a self-starter who thrives on solving problems independently. You enjoy working with data and are motivated to learn new tools and concepts. You are structured in your approach and not afraid to ask questions or challenge assumptions.

We don’t expect you to know everything from day one – but we do expect curiosity, attention to detail and a drive to grow.

Qualifications

Required

  • At the end of your bachelor’s or in the beginning of your master’s degree.
  • Academic background within data science, economics, energy, business analytics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Some experience with data handling and analysis – ideally including Python, Excel and/or SQL.
  • Strong analytical mindset and the ability to work independently.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity or interest in energy markets and renewable energy.
  • Experience with Git, working with APIs and Microsoft Fabric tools such as Power BI, Azure Data Factory or Azure Data Warehouse.

Join our team

We believe that students bring fresh perspectives and valuable contributions. You’ll contribute to real projects with tangible impact – while building your skills and knowledge in a supportive environment.

We encourage a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applicants from all backgrounds regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please send your application and CV through the link as soon as possible.
