Global MarCom & Digital Director – impact a setup geared for success

The team you will manage consists of 13 MarCom professionals – 6 at the Danish HQ (Ballerup + UK), 4 from Europe (all with solid lines to you) and 3 from the US, China, and Japan who will have a dotted line to you.

Set the strategic direction to support growth

The role of Marketing Communication Director is pivotal in shaping the company’s success through strategic and tactical communication and brand positioning. This means that you will be essential for maintaining consistent messaging, enhancing brand awareness, and fostering customer engagement. A crucial part of this is leading the team in creating compelling marketing campaigns and ensuring effective communication strategies that align with company goals and objectives.

  • Team Collaboration: You will foster collaboration among various departments, including marketing, sales, product development, and senior management, to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated campaigns that drive business growth.
  • Industry Trends: You will stay abreast of the latest marketing trends, digital innovations, and consumer behaviors, which is essential for this role to adapt strategies and stay ahead of competitors in a rapidly evolving landscape.
  • Key Stakeholders: You will interact with Sales, internal teams and key executives to ensure alignment on messaging, branding, and marketing initiatives that support the company’s overall objectives.
  • Success Metrics: Your success is measured by various KPIs: lead generation, conversion rates, overall impact of marketing campaigns on revenue growth, brand awareness and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: You align and execute marketing campaigns together with the In-Market PM team, ensuring that the campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives to maximize impact and ROI.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: You address challenges such as market shifts, competitive threats, and evolving consumer preferences by making data-driven decisions to optimize campaign performance and brand positioning.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: You collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate marketing efforts with In-Market PM, Sales and Customer Service to create a seamless customer experience and drive business growth.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: You lead the team of Global MarCom professionals as well as the MarCom Matrix team. This entails that you provide guidance, mentorship, and support to nurture talent, foster creativity, and drive high-performance results.
  • Process Improvement and Innovation: You constantly seek opportunities to innovate processes, adopt new technologies, and enhance communication strategies to stay ahead in the competitive market landscape.
  • Technical or Customer-Facing Responsibilities: You engage with technical teams for data analysis, CRM utilization, and customer segmentation, while also ensuring customer-facing materials are impactful and aligned with brand messaging.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree is preferable.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems.
  • Several years of experience in marketing, with at least a few in a senior leadership role. Experience in global B2B marketing is required. Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • In-depth understanding of market trends, customer behavior, branding strategies, and experience in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in AI tools, personalization, and industry-specific technologies that drive marketing innovation.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling marketing operations, expanding into global markets, and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
