
SHEQ Engineer and internal Auditor
Do you want to play a key part in executing INEOS Energy’s tasks and projects within safety, health, environment and management systems? And are you keen to work in a challenging environment, where you will be involved in a wide range of tasks and technical challenges?
We are looking for an Engineer to join our SHEQ Department, specifically the Sustainability, Environment and Systems Team (SES team).
The Safety, Health, Environment and Quality department supports the entire INEOS Energy Denmark daily business including new projects within CO2 storage and Oil & Gas. The SES team is responsible for coordinating the environmental regulatory requirements for onshore and offshore activities, KPI monitoring, internal and external reporting. Analysis of environmental data and building models and reports within the area is also driven from the team. Also, the SES team plan and perform internal audits, audits of suppliers, SHEQ evaluations of suppliers, maintain the ISO 14001 certification, implement new regulatory requirements collect and report ESG data and GHG data and more.
We are currently 290 employees in Denmark with offices in Esbjerg and Virum. You will be based at our office in Esbjerg.
About the job
You will liaise with colleagues in both Esbjerg and Virum and with other functional disciplines across departments, to ensure compliance, monitoring and development of SHEQ across the entire INEOS business.
Depending on your experience we may be able to modify the tasks, we are looking for competence in:
- Experienced lead auditor of internal audits and audits of suppliers
- Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 14001/9001/45001
- Hands-on SHEQ evaluation of suppliers
- Experience with waste management, e.g NORM waste
- Experience with discharge permits for offshore chemicals and chemical APV
- Experience with offshore environmental permits and the regulations behind
- Experience with EU ETS, methane regulations, CSRD and CBAM are advantages
A self-driven team player – preferably with industry experience
Preferably, you have proven experience in similar role and have good knowledge of common industry standards, rules and regulations.
Furthermore, we imagine that you:
- Have a relevant educational background in engineering e.g. within chemical engineering, process engineering, environmental engineering or similar
- Have a structured approach, strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Have a self-motivated and result oriented mindset, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Have good collaboration skills, and believe in knowledge sharing
- Are fluent in English verbally as well as written
