Housing coordinator for our busy service desk
Here at the Housing Foundation Copenhagen, we are currently looking for a new Housing Coordinator to manage the overall responsibility for our service desk. We offer a role in an international and informal working environment where you can expect a large degree of freedom in planning your own working day.
This is a temporary position for 1 year, with the possibility to extend.
What can you expect from us?
You will be given a large degree of freedom to pursue your tasks. Most of your tasks will be conducted in English, and you will get the opportunity to meet and talk to people from all over the world. We also offer a good pension scheme as well as private health insurance.
This is a full-time position consisting of 37 hours per week, including lunch. Work from home will be possible to a certain degree, but since we have a physical service desk, you should expect to be working from 9-15 in the office most days, with great flexibility around the remaining hours. We are several colleagues who have small children and pride ourselves on being able to accommodate your needs to make room for family commitments during your week, if need be.
What are the tasks?
At the Housing foundation Service desk no two days are the same. We have quiet periods where we have time for an extra cup of coffee, and busy periods where we are on our feet the whole day and our coffee usually gets a bit cold.
- Responsible for the service desk – the first point of contact for most our tenants Answering phone calls and emails regarding bookings and our booking system
- Coordination of our student workers
- Handling keys during move-in and move-out, as well as coordinating with our accommodation sites, residence assistants and our service manager.
- Making regular updates to our website using WordPress
Our busy periods are usually between mid-July to mid-September and again around mid-January to mid-February.
Who are we looking for?
The most important requirement for this role is your ability to switch between different tasks and plan your own working day. To thrive in this role, you must enjoy being in direct contact with many different people via phone, email and face to face.
We imagine that you have either a few years of working experience in an office- or customer service environment – but you could also be newly graduated.
It is a requirement that you have a high level of proficiency in English, both spoken and written as all our services are aimed at non-Danish speakers. It will of course be helpful if you understand Danish, but it is not a requirement to fulfil the role. Having the right drive and motivation to provide great service to our many tenants is the most important thing – everything else we can teach you along the way.
