About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our finance team in Aarhus in a key long-term role supporting the growth and success of our business.

In this role, you will have direct responsibility for one of our key business units—Trapeze, which operates across Denmark, Norway, and Germany. You will report directly to the General Manager with a functional reporting line to the Group Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Management & Business Support:

  • Act as a financial advisor to the General Manager and functional managers, helping to develop business plans, priorities, and forecasts aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide strategic financial leadership to drive net revenue, EBITA, working capital, and overall business growth.
  • Lead the Quarterly Strategic Review (QSR) process, incorporating sales pipeline analysis and cost assessments to develop accurate forecasts and identify key performance improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure execution of action points from the QSR review process.

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Accountable for delivering the accurate and timely monthly/quarterly/yearly consolidated financial reporting to ensure compliance of internal and external reporting and requirements in accordance with both local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Manage and execute internal and external audits and ensure statutory filings are completed as required.
  • Process payroll, bonuses, commissions, and payments.
  • Monitor key financial metrics related to customer contracts and enforce performance tracking via KPIs.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of revenue recognition, comfortable operating under IFRS15, including being accountable for assuring high quality project accounting / controlling.

Governance & Risk Management:

  • Apply best practices across processes, people and systems to optimize revenue, profitability and cash-flow, efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure key accounting processes and internal controls are well-documented and adhered to.
  • Stay updated on financial trends and regulations, ensuring compliance across finance functions.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to ensure that project bids and contract terms—both financial and non-financial—are competitive, strategic, and aligned with corporate guidelines.

We recognize that even experienced professionals may not meet every single requirement listed above. However, we are looking for candidates with a strong background in finance management who are ready to take ownership in a senior role. Any gaps will be addressed through hands-on training and support from our experienced finance team and the broader Modaxo finance community. This role offers an excellent long-term career step for an ambitious professional, with exposure to nearly all aspects of finance and accounting. For the right candidate, there may also be opportunities to actively contribute to future acquisitions and take on expanded responsibilities over time.

Your profile:

  • You have a background in accounting or finance and work independently, taking ownership and leading projects forward while effectively engaging with stakeholders.
  • You balance strategic oversight with attention to detail, providing management with clear financial insights while also diving into specifics when needed. You consistently deliver high-quality work and manage both expected and unexpected challenges without compromising on deadlines. You are positive, driven, and a strong collaborator.
  • You hold a master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field, and bring at least five years of experience in finance management. Strong system and project management skills are essential, including advanced Excel proficiency. Experience working in IT companies and with IFRS 15 is a strong advantage.
