
Group Controller

Your Role
As our Group Controller, you will oversee key financial activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and support our mission of providing world-class in vitro diagnostics to clinicians and researchers. You will report directly to the CFO and work closely with his team of 4 people and support our core business in both Denmark and the US. As Group Controller, you will be responsible for our accountant, who will be reporting directly to you, leading the day-to-day activities to facilitating smooth coordination and execution of financial tasks. The role is wide, and you will be our in-house expert while being flexible towards the company’s needs and priorities.
Your areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:
- Group-level financial reporting and consolidation
- Compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS)
- Monitoring and improving internal controls
- Budgeting and forecasting
- VAT and tax reporting (DK and US)
- Managing payroll
- Coordination with external auditors
- Financial analysis to support strategic decisions
- Ad hoc financial tasks and projects

Your Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and result-driven candidate who will bring a wealth of experience in group financial management, structured financial processes, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key qualifications:
- MSc Business Economics and Auditing or equivalent with a strong theoretical background
- Solid experience from the auditing industry
- Extensive experience in group accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Dynamics Navision is an advantage but not required
- Fluent in English and Danish, both written and spoken, as English is the working language across the BioPorto Group.
- Structured, self-driven, and capable of prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
