
We are looking for a Finance Manager for our site – unique opportunity to define a new team
Job Mission
The Finance Manager will be an important part of a dynamic international company with approximately 30 subsidiaries, annual sales of €350 million, and 900 employees and with financial organization in constant improvement.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for incorporating a newly insourced finance function as professional support for the local organization and to add value cross the group through knowledge and projects.
This position combines the responsibilities of a financial controller and finance manager, ensuring robust financial operations while supporting strategic decision-making in close alignment with the international group finance organization headquartered in Tienen, Belgium.
The Finance Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer at UBS, where participation in projects cross the UBS group is expected.
Key responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with group standards and local regulations
- Perform detailed financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations to senior management and the group finance team
- Oversee the timely and accurate consolidation of financial results for the entire group.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting process for the Danish entity and contribute to the consolidated group budget
- Develop rolling forecasts to ensure adaptability to market dynamics and business requirements
- Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide actionable insights to management.
- Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and group policies
- Strengthen and oversee the internal control framework to safeguard the company’s assets
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure successful and efficient audits.
- Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
- Monitor and optimize cash flow and working capital
- Collaborate with the group treasury team to manage liquidity, foreign exchange risks, and financing.
- Operational Financial Management:
- Supervise day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and adherence to company policies
- Support procurement and cost management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
- Being part of daily business with hands-on related to finance tasks.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, develop, and mentor local finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Ensure alignment with group standards while encouraging innovation and best practices within the team.
- Strategic Business Partnering:
- Act as a financial business partner to the Danish management team, providing financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with other finance leaders across the group to drive synergies and share best practices.
- Project Management:
- Support and lead finance-related projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, and cost optimization initiatives
- Contribute to the financial evaluation of investment opportunities and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance, combining aspects of financial control and management, ideally in an international environment
- Proven experience with group consolidations, financial reporting, and operational finance
- Strong knowledge of local GAAP
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced BI and Excel skills. Knowledge of Navision and Power BI is an advantage
- Experience in hands-on.
