Key Account Manager

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Key Account Manager to join our growing team. As specialists in the heavy lifting industry within offshore wind turbine installation, we are looking for a candidate with a strong commercial mindset and deep industry knowledge, particularly in working with lifting, shipping, and installation of heavy components.

Your Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing long-term relationships with our most important clients. A client could be a large wind turbine manufacturer or one of the large offshore wind developers or a vessel owner. You will serve as the main point of contact, ensuring that Harco delivers exceptional value and service, while identifying opportunities for growth and strategic partnerships.

Main tasks

  • Manage Key Accounts and develop strategic relationships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your client
  • Provide technical expertise and solutions to clients
  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure successful project execution

Your qualifications and strengths

  • Proven experience in Key Account Management
  • Strong commercial and analytic mindset
  • Relevant industry knowledge
  • Experience working with lifting, shipping, and/or installation of heavy components
  • within offshore wind installations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key client relationship
  • Performing stakeholder mapping and extend relationships
  • Understand client needs and translate them into tailored solutions
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize both client satisfaction and company profitability
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, logistics, and project teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar B2B commercial role
  • Experience in driving success within a matrix organization
  • Strong commercial skills and a strategic sales mindset
  • Solid industry knowledge, especially in lifting operations, shipping logistics, installation, or heavy component handling
  • Technical understanding of heavy equipment and industrial processes is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communications and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel as needed to support client relationships
  • Fluent in English verbal and written
