Application Specialist – bridge lab work and customer value
Are you ready to step into a role that combines deep technical understanding with a commercial aim and a global outlook? A role that will take you travelling worldwide to meet and train customers, colleagues and collaboration partners?
As our next Application Specialist, you will get to work in the lab in Greater Copenhagen one day and lead training in The Americas the next – all while shaping how Struers' products create real value for global clients.
Most importantly, you have a high motivation to meet and communicate with various stakeholders around the world – and an endless curiosity to expand your technical foundation with our highly specialised knowhow.
The Application Department – hands-on specialists with worldwide reach
Struers is a global company with a strong heritage, a large product portfolio within metallographic preparation, and, most importantly, highly skilled and motivated colleagues.
At our headquarters in Greater Copenhagen, you will join a specialised team of 4 Application Specialists who combine technical depth with a practical and commercial mindset. We work closely with customers, resellers and sales teams worldwide – from hands-on lab work to training, support and knowledge sharing across borders. All with the aim of sharing and developing knowledge about our products and services and to offer value-adding services directly to the customers.
Work in the space between lab work, knowledge sharing and global training
You will split your days between your desk, the lab and travelling the world. With the overall aim of making knowledge about our materialographic solutions available to customers and colleagues alike, your work will support our Sales organisation, and you will further work closely with both Marketing and R&D.
This role will take you travelling approx. 50 days per year with a duration ranging from a few days to a couple of weeks. While you will have a focus on The Americas, your travelling is not limited to this area.
More specifically, you will:
- Plan and execute training sessions for customers and collaboration partners on our products – especially in The Americas, but also other places around the world
- Handle support enquiries from customers and colleagues alike
- Do trouble-shooting – at the laboratory and customer sites
A technical profile with a knack for great communication
You thrive when sharing knowledge, adapting your message to different audiences and building trust across cultures. You are motivated by learning, and you are comfortable stepping into a role where precision, structure and communication are equally important.
We furthermore imagine that you:
- Have a technical background, ideally with knowledge of materials, at bachelor or master level – or have built equivalent expertise through experience
- Have experience with e.g. technical support, training or hands-on customer interaction
- Are proficient in English and have strong presentation skills, written and spoken
- Are fluent in Spanish
