Working in Accounting & Controlling at Unifeeder
As a Financial Controller, you will manage and oversee financial operations to ensure the organization's financial health and stability by providing accurate financial information, optimizing processes, and managing risks.
You will join a team of six colleagues with diverse ages and backgrounds, all committed to fostering a supportive team spirit, open collaboration, and constructive challenges.
The preferred location for this position is at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark. Some travel is expected (estimated 5-10 days annually). We are seeking candidates who are already based in Denmark.
You will be part of Unifeeder’s Accounting & Controlling team, reporting to Tommy Riber Thomsen, Accounting and Controlling Director.

Key responsibilities
- Financial reporting and analysis: Ensure accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting (monthly, yearly). Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Ensure financial figures accurately reflect operational performance.
- Compliance & internal controls: Maintain and develop internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. This includes overseeing general accounting, validation, and reporting processes. Conduct risk assessments and build controls to mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant regulations.
- Process optimization: Optimize financial processes, including ERP and reporting systems, to improve efficiency and accuracy. Focus on standardizing and optimizing finance processes across different countries and Business Units.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as accounting and finance business partnering teams, to ensure financial data aligns with business needs and supports performance discussions. Engage in ongoing dialogue with counterparts in DP World to ensure Unifeeder adheres to the governance and policies prescribed by our parent company.
Who are you?
You hold a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration (cand.merc. in Danish) or a similar degree, with 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in an international organization.
Additionally, we expect you to have:
- Experience with IFRS and local GAAP
- In-depth understanding of accounting
- Knowledge of standardizing, optimizing, and automating processes
Your also bring:
- A positive and flexible mindset with an analytical and structured approach to problem-solving
- Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills
- A self-driven attitude with the ability to make decisions and prioritize tasks
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
