Material Planner
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Material Planner to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and packaging components, supporting our production schedule. This role is crucial in planning material requirements based on demand forecasts, production plans, and inventory policies, ensuring smooth and efficient supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in line with production schedules and forecasts.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate closely with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery.
- Identify and escalate potential material shortages or supply risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Track and adjust planning parameters such as lead times, safety stock, and reorder points to optimize inventory levels.
- Collaborate with production planners, warehouse staff, and other departments to ensure alignment of material availability with production needs.
- Maintain accurate material master data and planning records in the ERP system.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, material status, and planning performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., IFS, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in both Danish and English, spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lean principles or inventory optimization practices.
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
