PhD scholarship in Tendon Flow Imaging

A 3-year PhD scholarship is available at the Center for Fast Ultrasound Imaging (CFU), Department of Health Technology (DTU Health Tech) from September 2022 sponsored by the Department of Health Technology, Bispebjerg Hospital, and the European Research Council (ERC).

This project develops the imaging modes for visualization of tendons and their blood flow. Tendon tissue (e.g. Achilles tendon) represents an important point for overuse injury both in sports, recreational activities and occupational work, and tendon blood flow is suggested to play a role in the development of this disease. The developed methods includes synthetic aperture ultrasound imaging with small parts probes to show low velocity flow in healthy and diseased tendons using our Verasonics research scanner at DTU.
