You will join each project from the very beginning – from scope over execution framework to implementation; sometimes as lead project manager and at other times as project manager of the IT track. As such, you will often find yourself as the link between scope, schedule, governance, cost and supplier negotiations.
Managing 2-3 global projects at a time and travelling approximately 20 days a year to primarily the US and Europe, you will:
- Manage the development and maintenance of project/programme plans
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure involvement, consensus and buy-in as well as leading, motivating and coaching team members
- Balancing risk, technical do-ability and business demands in IT deliveries as well as managing programme risks, issues, dependencies and interfaces
A 3-year PhD scholarship is available at the Center for Fast Ultrasound Imaging (CFU) at the Department of Electrical Engineering from the Autumn 2018. The scholarship is co-funded by the Innovation Foundation and a collaboration between CFU, DTU Nanotech, BK Medical, University of Copenhagen and the Copenhagen University Hospital (Rigshospitalet).
The project seeks to develop new advanced ultrasound super resolution imaging (SRI) techniques. SRI can increase the fundamental resolution of ultrasound by a factor of 10-100 times using isolation and tracking of micro bubbles injected into the blood stream. The project develops the schemes for isolating the bubbles, for tracking and visualizing them in 2D and 3D. The project also includes performing a range of phantom and animal experiments to develop and refine the SRI algorithms.

In a collaboration between Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at DTU and Haldor Topsøe A/S we are offering a PhD position within the exploration of plasma assisted catalysis and catalytic process development for sustainable production of chemicals.
Plasma catalysis is the combination of primarily a non-thermal plasma, providing electrons to excite molecules, and a catalytic surface, enabling these to react chemically with enhanced selectivity for the desired products.
A plasma is generated by electricity, and so it is also highly relevant in the expected electrification of society that is taking place with the rapid development of solar and wind based electricity.
