You will be responsible for a section of the fermentation plant in Kalundborg - Novozymes’ most complex fermentation facility. We are 50 employees in the department, and as Associate Manager, you will secure the daily operation, and work on the longer-term development of our future way of operating. Your team will consist of one technician, one engineer and approx. 10 operators working on a 3-shift schedule. You will become a member of the department leadership team, and will get significant impact on the department’s performance.

Three PhD positions are available in the Eukaryotic Molecular Cell Biology Group at Department of Biotechnology and Biomedicine (DTU Bioengineering).
The department conducts research, educates future bio-engineers, provides scientific advice and innovates within the areas of microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology and biomedicine. The research at DTU Bioengineering is at the highest international level and focuses on the societal and scientific challenges within the field.
Research is conducted within three main areas: Microbial ecology and physiology, Industrial biotechnology and cell factories, and Biomedicine and health. The department has extensive collaboration with national and international research units and industries.

The Screening and Fermentation group as part of the translational Core Facility of the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (DTU Biosustain) is seeking a highly motivated fermentation/staff specialist in the field of microbial fermentation and physiology.
The work of the translational Core Facility of the Center aims towards bridging the gap between academic metabolic engineering projects and their commercial application. The successful candidate will characterize newly developed cell factories from early stage screens up to lab scale fermentations as well as contributing to process and method development.
The position requires collaboration with internal research groups as well as the analytical and genome engineering group of the Core Facility.
