DTU Nutech, the Radiation Physics Division, is seeking candidates for a PhD position to develop methods for neutronics and thermodynamic simulations of multi-fluid nuclear reactors
The PhD project aims at developing and benchmarking regulatory compliant computational tools, coupling neutronics and thermal-hydraulic models. The expected outcome of this is a mesh-kinetics software module; a generic functional reactivity mapping tool, which can handle a general hydrodynamic input in a liquid fueled reactor.
The PhD project will be part of the Eurostars project SEALION and carried out in close collaboration with the consortium partners, comprising Danish industry and international research institutions.

Clients are primarily E&P companies around the world, but also service providers to the oil and gas sector, universities and other knowledge based institutions.
You will take part in the project execution both in R&D projects and commercial projects within water conformance, tracers, production chemicals, sensor technologies, CFD, corrosion and handling of injection- and produced water.
