A 3-year PhD scholarship is available from 1 April 2018 in the Automation group at DTU Electrical Engineering. The project Distributed and modular bio-inspired architecture for motor learning and control is a research project co-funded by the European project: the Human Brain Project (HBP).
In this particular research project we seek to elucidate the basic principles of motor learning and control based on different bio-inspired studies, among whom the cerebellar role in motor adaptation. The project aims at applying new learning and control architectures in order to achieve adaptability performance. The project deals with theoretical as well as experimental approaches.
We seek a skilled and motivated lab manager who will support and contribute to the research in the Hearing Systems group at the Department of Electrical Engineering at DTU.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of the research laboratories of the Hearing Systems group at DTU. The tasks require technical as well as innovative and communication skills to maintain and improve the level of the research facilities in collaboration with the researchers in the group. DTU Electrical Engineering seeks qualified and talented candidates for a vacant PhD position in Counteraction Planning based on Multilevel Flow Modelling.
The purpose of the project is to extend the current reasoning platform with algorithms to generate action plans for the operator based on on-line information about causes and consequences of plant disturbances. The reasoning system will be applied for operator decision support in fault and disturbance management.
On-line decision support is currently supported in industrial plants by procedures or operating manuals. These procedures and operating instructions are predefined and based on previous operational experience and are often incomplete or too generic.
The overall aim of the project is to develop reasoning algorithms for counteraction planning based on Multilevel Flow Modelling.
