We are seeking highly motivated candidates for two PhD scholarships in the field of materials for catalytic CO₂ conversion.

Our research focuses on C1-chemistry and catalysis for the sustainable production of fuels and chemicals. The aim of the PhD projects is to synthesize materials that are highly active in selective catalytic CO₂ hydrogenations.

Your role will be to synthesize well-defined nanoparticle catalysts and test their activity in various gas-phase reactions, including reverse water-gas shift, dry reforming, and CO₂ methanation.

PhD scholarship in Solid State Batteries - DTU Energy

The Department of Energy Conversion and Storage at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU Energy) invites applications for a 3-year PhD position to work on synthesis, electrochemical characterization and operando structural analysis of new solid state battery materials.

The aim of the PhD project is to develop composite solid electrolytes and composite positive electrodes and demonstrate a full solid state battery operating at low-to-ambient pressure. Operando synchrotron X-ray experiments will be used to investigate structural and transport properties of the solid state battery.

In connection with our Novo Nordisk foundation challenge grant ‘Energy Materials for the GUT (EMGUT)’ we are looking for a PhD student to work with design, fabrication and development of nanostructured microparticles for advanced oral delivery of drugs or bioactive agents.

You will be responsible for fabrication of MoNaMis and MuNaMis, where the effect of applied bioactive/triggering agents along with other parameters (e.g. carrier polymer, layer thickness, applied micro cutting tool and final compactness) will be studied on release of the target API(s) under in vitro and in vivo conditions.

PhD Scholarships in Piezoelectric Biopolymer Technology and Devices for Drug Delivery on Demand – DTU Health Tech

The aim of the PhD project is to explore and develop new piezoelectric biomaterials and technologies for controlled drug release in smart devices by the application of ultrasound.

Your overall focus will be on the design, realization, and test of devices such as smart pills or flexible MEMS transducers based on piezoelectric biopolymers such as chitosan and cellulose, the two most abundant biopolymers on earth. You will work with nearby colleagues and with academic, clinical, and industrial partners in Denmark as well as abroad.
