Job description

We are looking for a Food Scientist with experience from sensory. You will work with a team that develops the formula, sensory/tasting and chemical analysis of liquid products mostly dairy. We see that you are open minded and eager to find solutions to help customers find a balanced product. The products are developed in the Accelerator Lab in Lund. In the lab they develop new products that might not yet be on the market which means you need to implement strategies and brainstorm new ideas of how to meet customer needs.

Your daily tasks may include:

  • Development of Reports, Communications and Presentation regarding the ALab products and services
  • Assistance & Preparations for Customer Sessions (Travels may apply)
  • Develop Model Formulations and maintain the Database, Test them in a Lab and pilot scale
  • Report and Document findings and results with Sensory panels
  • Organise logistics of ingredients
  • Support maintenance of SOPs for Analytical Testing, Sensory, HACCP and GMP for Food Prototyping Activities to be carried out in the ALab.
  • Maintenance of ALab SOP – Maintain relevance to current processes and learning experienced in the ALab
  • Support Sensory Analysis Sessions
  • Laboratory Care
  • Inventory Management of consumables.

Required skills:

  • Practical work experience from the food industry or other biochemical industry.
  • Knowledge on the field of Sensory Analysis and basic skills already developed
  • Knwoldge and understanding of Food Safety and HACCP
  • Have previously participated on Design Thinking and Co-innovation journeys
  • Important to have strong interest in Food & Food Processing
  • Prior Food Product development experience would be an asset
  • Masters degree within food tech, nutrition, Biochemistry etc.
  • Bachelor's level with 5+ yrs of experience in industry or development

  • Important to have strong interest in Food & Food Processing
  • You are pro-actively, be accurate and enjoy taking responsibility
  • Ability to collaborate using a flexible and positive attitude focusing on finding solutions
  • You are curious in learning more about how to process different kinds of food
  • You are comfortable in discussing food processing from a practical stand point, if coming from other industry a curiosity to learn food processing
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
