Development Engineer – Build, Innovate, Ride
What if you could help shape the products that define our brand – from the very first sketch to the final product? Make a real impact as our new Development Engineer – ensuring we continue to deliver the right products that keep us competitive and the preferred choice among our customers. If you love working with mechanics, and driven by quality and customer value, this could be your next exciting opportunity.
We are looking for a Development Engineer who has a passion and a distinct flair for mechanics – and a big interest in developing products and special machines. In this role, you will be a part of creating new ideas and developing high-end products, primarily for road bikes and off-road bikes, but also for our own special machines and test machines in-house.
Your role
You will be a part of the R&D department with six dedicated colleagues, reporting directly to the R&D Manager. You will have the responsibility - together with the other Development Engineer in R&D - for managing and running projects across the organization in collaboration with Operations and Purchasing. Your work will take you through the entire development process - from early ideas and technical drawings to building prototypes and overseeing production implementation. Throughout the process, you will independently drive the projects and document internal and external tests.
Your Key Responsibilities
Develop bicycle parts, often involving ball bearings.
Prepare brief and accurate documentation of various tests and development tasks.
Analyze and solve difficult technical problems - including customer contact.
Operating a Markforged ONYX PRO 3D printer to create prototypes.
Develop internal test machines and production equipment in collaboration with colleagues.
Draw and finalize bicycle parts/machines/production equipment in 3D (Solid Works).
Create 2D detailed working drawings of parts/machines/production equipment.
Develop and implement Q-test methods for new and existing products.
Approve FOT (first out of tool) parts and release it to production.
Run/oversee tests on our test machines.
Develop and maintain ISO9001 R&D instructions.
Work closely with suppliers of parts and machines.
Keep up to date with the latest bike components, trends and technologies.
What We Expect from You
We imagine you have a relevant technical background with 3D design skills - SolidWorks experience is an advantage, but training will be provided if needed. You have a genuine interest in mechanics and ideally hands-on experience with bikes. It is a bonus if you also like to ride a bike in your spare time.
We are looking for someone who is driven by seeing the final result come to live – with a calm, robust and analytical approach to listening, analyzing and turning challenges into the right solutions.
You are detail-oriented, structured, and capable of running several projects at the same time, guiding them safely from idea to final delivery. Fluency in Danish and English is essential, and previous experience from a similar role will be a strong advantage.
