FLC is looking for a Lean Process Engineer to join our continuous improvement efforts and optimize our production processes. The Lean Process Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and improving our production processes, reducing waste and inefficiencies by using Industrial methods. The ideal candidate will have a deep Industrial Mindset, an understanding of Lean principles, a high motivation to work directly on the shopfloor and first work experiences.

About FLC:

At Femern Link Contractors (FLC), we are responsible for designing and constructing the immersed tunnel, portals and ramps on both ends of the tunnel, in Rødbyhavn and Puttgarden.

We are also building the facilities for prefabricating tunnel elements as well as accommodation facilities, also known as the “Tunnel village” in Rødbyhavn, which provides housing for FLC workers.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
  • Planning and implementation of improvement projects across our entire value chain in a close collaboration with other departments and experienced colleagues
  • Application of Lean methods for identifying waste and designing optimized processes (material flow analysis, value stream mapping or other process analysis methods)
  • Bring new ideas to improve material and logistics flows, design efficient processes and support the creation of optimized workplaces in an industrial mindset
  • Monitor process performance of our Takt production, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures
  • Implement Industrial Solutions to transform the construction site towards an industrial factory
Qualifications:
  • High motivation to work on the shopfloor with a hands-on and practical approach for optimizing construction processes from an industrial perspective
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business management or a related field with a minimum of 2 years professional work experience
  • Fluent in English - speaking and writing
  • Ability to identify waste and inefficiencies in processes and develop effective solutions
  • Analytical thinking, a willingness to learn and teamwork are key to developing and implementing solutions within interdisciplinary improvement teams
  • Motivation to develop and bring new Industrial ideas inside
