TCC Operator
FLC is looking for a Coordinator to join the Parallel Works team (PAW). The team is responsible for the central coordination of various activities and contractors in the tunnel as well as the emergency management in the tunnel (including operating the temporary control centre (TCC). As TCC Operator, you will be working in the temporary control centre (TCC). This is the central position to oversee and operate various control systems (i.e. fire alarms, ventilation) inside the tunnel according to internal operation procedures.
About FLC:At Femern Link Contractors (FLC), we are responsible for designing and constructing the immersed tunnel, portals and ramps on both ends of the tunnel, in Rødbyhavn and Puttgarden.
We are also building the facilities for prefabricating tunnel elements as well as accommodation facilities, also known as the “Tunnel village” in Rødbyhavn, which provides housing for FLC workers.
About the department:Being part of the PAW team allows you to be part of the focal point for coordination and emergency management. In case of emergency, the TCC operator is responsible for raising alarms, initiating emergency responses (for example the deployment of the First Response Team (FRT) or the evacuation of the tunnel) and coordinating external emergency services.
Main tasks and responsibilities:- Monitors and operates the tunnel systems (fire alarms, ventilation etc.), and reports malfunctions to the service teams.
- Assists the PAW operations team with traffic and logistics management
- Communicates with personnel inside and outside the tunnel (team leaders, works managers, first response, and first aid personnel).
- Activates/ deactivates alarms and initiates emergency responses
- Interacts with external emergency services
- Coordinates the evacuation of the tunnel in case of emergency
- Conducts emergency drills and trainings for the TCC and the FRT
- Maintains logs and technical checks
- Programs radios and RTLS tags
- At least 3-5 years of experience within the field.
- Preferably experience in construction, installations (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural trades) and/or in emergency services/coordination (police, fire fighters, ambulance, military).
- Capable of managing stressful situations.
- Good capability of reading, understanding and following procedures.
- Good technical understanding and curiosity.
- Experience in problem solving.
- Flexibility to quickly adapt to different situations.
- Excellent oral and written Danish and English skills (German is a plus).
