We are looking for a motivated Process Engineer to support combustion and process design in our biomass energy projects. In this role, you will contribute to the development of thermal systems, perform process calculations, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure robust and efficient plant designs. You will be part of a growing team working to deliver innovative and sustainable energy solutions across Europe

Process Engineer – Combustion & Process Design
Help us shape the future of green energy
Do you want to play a key role in the green energy transition – and help shape how future biomass plants are designed and built? At Dall Energy, we are combining innovation, engineering excellence, and climate ambition to deliver cleaner, smarter energy solutions.

Across Europe, the demand for sustainable energy is accelerating. Cities and utilities are looking for alternatives that are not just greener, but also smarter and more financially viable. That’s where Dall Energy makes a difference. We design and deliver Combined Heat and Power plants powered by our patented gasification technology – a solution that outperforms conventional systems in both efficiency and flexibility.

Our plants are built to run reliably across the entire load range while using low-grade, cost-effective biomass fuels. It’s a technology that opens up new possibilities for sustainable energy – and sets the stage for ambitious engineers to contribute with practical, future-proof solutions.

We’re growing fast, and we’re now looking for a Process Engineer to join our technical team and contribute to combustion and process design across projects. You’ll play a key role in developing our process knowledge, performing calculations, and supporting project execution from tender phase to commissioning.

What you’ll be working on

You’ll take part in developing core thermal and process systems – from combustion calculations and energy balances to technical specifications and commissioning input. You'll collaborate closely with colleagues across disciplines and help organize and anchor both existing and newly acquired knowledge in the department.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

Perform combustion and process calculations, including mass and energy balances, and prepare functional descriptions for integration with the control system
Specify process-related equipment and assess documentation and input from suppliers and collaborators
Contribute to standard documentation, process models, and maintenance of the internal knowledge base
Support both tender and execution phases with technical documentation, take part in clarification meetings, and assist with commissioning when needed
What you bring to the table

You hold a degree in chemical, energy, or mechanical engineering – or a similar technical background. Ideally, you bring 2–5 years of experience with process engineering, thermal systems, or combustion technologies. You thrive on combining calculations with practical implementation and enjoy working across disciplines to solve complex challenges.

You bring:

Solid experience with combustion processes and thermal system design, including integration with controls, piping, and mechanical equipment
Skilled in performing and documenting process calculations such as mass and energy balances, and in preparing structured technical specifications
Fluent in English – written and spoken; Danish and French are considered valuable assets
What it’s like to work with us

At Dall Energy, your expertise doesn’t disappear into a large matrix – it shapes real outcomes. We rely on your experience and professional assessment to help us build not just plants, but the way we work. As part of a small and highly skilled team, you’ll take on broad responsibilities and help define technical solutions, supplier collaborations, and internal standards in your area.

You’ll be involved in projects from early concept to commissioning and beyond – and your input will influence decisions, not just deliverables. We’re growing, and that growth depends on people like you: professionals who want to take ownership, make improvements, and contribute to how we develop as a company.

Where you'll work

Your workplace will be at our office in Hørsholm. Travel to suppliers, construction sites, and operating plants in Denmark and France should be expected – typically around 20–40 travel days per year.
