As a Strategic Development Intern for the WCF Institute, you will play a key supporting role in the planning and execution of initiatives that contribute to our fundraising, partnership development, and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

Donor Engagement & Fundraising Support
Assist in donor research, outreach, and stewardship activities. Support the drafting and tailoring of funding and grant applications.

Proposal Writing & Reporting
Collaborate in developing high-quality proposals, concept notes, and progress reports in alignment with organisational goals and timelines

Document Preparation & Management
Help create, format, and organise strategic documents, presentations, and internal materials. Ensure efficient file management and version control.

Meetings Organisation & Support
Assist in scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings. Prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.

Institute Project Support

Provide ad hoc support to the ongoing projects such as IMCA and CLIMATEFIT based on project needs

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Business, Administration, Nonprofit management or a related field.
  • Strong writing, research, and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, or strategy
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams and SharePoint
  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and propose solutions proactively
  • Experience with project management is a strong asset
  • Prior experience with grant writing, fundraising, or admin support is a plus
  • Fluency in English

Location

  • This internship is on-site at the World Climate Foundation’s headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.
  • The office is located near the waterfront and just a short walk from the colorful Nyhavn.
  • Interns will work closely with team members in a friendly office environment and may have opportunities to participate in relevant meetings and activities held in Copenhagen

Duration and Time Commitment

The internship is offered for a period of 6 months, starting in August or September 2025. It is a full-time position.
