Join Our Team as an International Student Mentor on Campus Odense!
Are you an enthusiastic international student looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity to help your fellow students thrive? We're seeking a dedicated International Student Mentor to support our international master's programmes in the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences on Campus Odense.
This role offers a unique chance to make a real difference in the lives of new international students, helping them navigate their academic journey and settle into life in Denmark. You'll work closely with the Student Administration and our International Student Coordinator to ensure comprehensive and well-supported experience for our international community.
What you'll do:
- Plan and execute Study Start: Help us organize and run the orientation program for new international students, ensuring they have a smooth and welcoming start.
This includes participating in activities on campus in August.
- Recruit and coordinate volunteer international tutors: Help us find and manage our fantastic team of volunteer tutors who provide peer support to new international students.
- Represent at Open House events: Share your experiences and insights with prospective students at Open House events, offering a valuable student perspective.
- Provide guidance and support: Participate in various counseling initiatives, including informational meetings and informal gatherings, to offer essential information and guidance to international students.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is currently enrolled in an international master's programme.
- Is fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Is outgoing, approachable, and passionate about helping others.
- Has a good understanding of the challenges and opportunities international students face.
Practicalities:
The start date for the position will be as soon as possible. This is a part-time position with an average of 2 hours per week (approximately 104 hours annually). Please note that there will be peak hours, particularly during Study Start periods and other events.
The employment is for 1 year with the possibility of extension.

Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and SUL (National Union for Student Teachers in Government Service).
In case you have not yet had an examination at SDU, the enrollment confirmation instead of the exam transcript must be annexed your application.
