Research Support Officer

Research Support Officer at the Department of Management, Society and Communication (MSC) at Copenhagen Business School in Frederiksberg.

We are looking for a skilled, experienced and dedicated Academic Officer to handle administrative tasks related to a broad portfolio of EU research projects within the fields of Renewable Energy, Urban Logistics and Sustainable Mobility, and Climate Resilience, and Women’s Health.

The employment will be for the limited period of 01 September 2025 till 31 August 2028.

You will become part of an international research team, where we take pride in providing excellent work to the department’s research environment. Therefore, the position requires that you are service-minded and can remain calm in a busy environment with many inquiries and a wide range of contacts.

MSC is located at Dalgas Have in Frederiksberg and has over 140 full-time employees working in research, teaching, and administration.

MSC has an extensive portfolio of externally funded projects that help strengthen the exploration and dissemination of new research ideas. Funding comes from various sources, including the Danish state, national and international foundations, EU funds, and collaboration agreements with other institutions.

Job Responsibilities

The primary tasks will include:
  • Support for research activities in medium and large EU-funded projects, including follow-up on research applications and grants.
  • Proposal and application writing.
  • Awareness raising.
  • Communication and event coordination.
  • Follow-up with project managers and grant coordinators regarding projects and status.
  • Insight into the projects’ finances, project details and research field.
  • Business model analysis.
  • Ad hoc tasks.
  • Assisting with the timesheets.
  • Onboarding meetings for new projects.

Qualifications

We expect you to have:
  • A MSc degree within the field of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics.
  • Experience with project management, coordination and financial administration in a public institution, preferably a Danish university.
  • Experience working on EU-funded research projects within the fields of Sustainable Development, Renewable Energy and Climate Resilience, and Women’s Health.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in English as well as in Greek.
  • An interest in developing and improving administrative project processes.
  • Experience with qualitative research (survey, interviews) and end-user engagement.

Salary and Terms of Employment

Employment and salary are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant organization, with placement and salary depending on qualifications and experience. There will be an opportunity to negotiate personal supplements upon employment. The position is 37 hours per week.
