Skilled student assistant wanted for the Communications Department at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences
We are looking for a new student assistant who is passionate about working with international relations, promoting SDU as a study destination, and contributing with critical thinking and cultural sensitivity
Are you particularly fond of diving into and performing within the areas of intercultural communication and international relations, while also approaching tasks with an analytical mindset and interest in data?
As our new student assistant, you will have lots of responsibility and the opportunity to develop both yourself and the tasks within the following areas:
- Event management
- Public relations and student outreach
- Text production, oral and written presentations
- Intercultural communication
- Data analysis and critical thinking
We value cultural openness, the ability to navigate diverse environments with sensitivity, and strong communication skills — both one-on-one and when speaking to larger audiences. Experience in public speaking, building positive relations, and using Microsoft 365 tools (such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) will be a great advantage.
We expect that you are pro-active, self-driven, and able to work independently. You should be comfortable talking in front of people, easily engaging in conversations, and working in a structured and detail-oriented way. Good English skills is an essential element in this position.
You will be employed at SAMF-Educational Communication. A communications department that contains a relaxed and at the same time professional atmosphere with good colleagues. Our office is located at SDU in Odense and you will have a working week of approximately 7-10 hours, depending on work tasks and your study calendar.

The department of Educational communication aims to be an active player who is present throughout the student's study-journey. With informative and attractive communicative initiatives, we aim to help both the prospective and enrolled students to make the best choices for themselves in regards to our study programs.
Educational Communication is a department under the Faculty of Social Sciences, which handles and contributes to the communication aimed at/with both our full-time and our part-time students (Danish as well as foreign) affiliated with all our study programs at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences.
Practical details
The application deadline is June 20th, 2025. We expect to conduct our interviews in week 26 at SDU in Odense. The position starts as soon as possible and in agreement with the chosen candidate.
Employment takes place in accordance with a collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK/STAT. The position is limited to 1 year, but with the possibility of extension.

Please note, the selected candidate as Student Assistant or Academic Supervisor must be enrolled as student at SDU.
Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK.
In case you have not yet had an examination at SDU, the enrollment confirmation instead of the exam transcript must be annexed your application.
