The Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at University of Southern Denmark is looking for a talented Electronic Hardware Developer from July 1st 2025 or as soon as possible.

What we expect

As an Electronic Hardware Developer in our team, you'll act as a technical interface between our project and the electronic components to fulfil system requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in conceptualizing, designing, prototyping, and testing electronic circuits.

Your tasks:

  • Your role involves designing hardware circuits including schematic design, circuit simulation, PCB layout, and doing circuit tests.
  • Your duty includes collaboratively creating test plans with the project lead for various electronic projects.
  • You are also responsible for organizing the lab with the lab leads at the Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering if needed.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electronic test equipment in the lab.
  • Maintain servers, including software updates and managing required licenses.

Your profile

Education: completed studies (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in the field of Electrical Engineering, Electronic Hardware Engineering or Computer Science.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience in developing low-power biomedical hardware.
  • Proficiency with hardware simulation tools such as Tina-TI, OrCAD, and LTspice.
  • Skilled in PCB layout using software like Altium Designer and OrCAD.
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment including logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity with hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Linux-based systems is also considered an advantage.

Personality and Working Practice:

A high level of teamwork, ability to work under pressure, team player, and strong communication skills.

Languages:

Fluent in professional English.
