The position

Our Manufacturing Development department is unique as it covers Analytical Development, Process Development, raw material, a Pilot Plant, Project Management and Contract Manufacturing.

You will be leading our Pilot Plant and MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) team, consisting of 2 Scientists and 8 Laboratory Technicians. All the Manufacturing Laboratory Technicians are located in this team; hence we support the development and optimization of Pharmatech’s entire product portfolio.

The Pilot Plant is a bridge between laboratory research and commercial production, where we develop, scale, and produce new products to the market.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Setting the direction for the team, ensuring that the prioritization and strategies are executed so the team can keep the overview and always prioritize deliverables
  • Collaborating with the management group to shape the strategic vision and roadmap for the team
  • Guiding the development of the employees and team, to ensure we can improve the way we work.

The position has a high stakeholder collaboration internally in Manufacturing Development, but also across the organization, so you can expect to work closely with Research, Production, QC, QA, and Business Support.

Qualifications

You will be a great asset to our team because you have:

  • Relevant academic degree related to Life Science, such as Bioengineering, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or similar
  • Leadership experience from a pharmaceutical company within manufacturing development and/or Production
  • GMP experience
  • Experience navigating through a complex and cross functional stakeholder landscape
  • Professional proficiency in Danish and English.

You have the ability for seeing the bigger picture and able to keep the eye on the ball in collaboration with stakeholders. You take great pride in developing your team and you do so by coaching, working with the culture and implementing a best practice toolbox.

About the department

The Manufacturing Development department in R&D Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S consists of 40 dedicated employees split into three teams. We are a part of R&D that in total consists of 60 employees.

We work in close collaboration with our customers to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing molecules used for the treatment of many different conditions, as well as process enzymes crucial for bioprocessing of established and upcoming therapeutic modalities.
