Are you a skilled Data Scientist, with the ability to work with business stakeholders across the Bank. Does the prospect of consistent personal growth opportunities excite you? Do you enjoy seizing and solving data tasks, and providing business-critical insights through data? Then you might be our new colleague to join our Unified Commercial Data Foundation team in Denmark.

You will join the Customer Engagement Individual Tribe in the Unified Commercial Data Foundation team, which has the mission of unlocking the potential of our data in close collaboration with our commercial organisation.

Your core task will be to dive deep into our data flows and build data models and extract business-critical insights, while shaping best practices for working with our data. Our primary purpose is enhancing our products and services to our customers.

What will you do?

Data & Analytics is one of the central enablers identified as a priority by Danske Bank’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT). You will be in a team supporting larger strategic journey by having a specific focus on all data aspects related to customer behavioural data, supporting our cloud initiatives, and ensuring our commercial organisation the data they need to support our customers. As a Business & Functional Specialist with data scientist skills, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver results and overcome challenges in data analytics projects, using a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Provide and communicate data-driven business insights to our commercial and product development teams and leadership!
  • Maintain a clear overview of the data area, being a crucial point of contact for data-related tasks within ComEx, and closely collaborate with experts across the organization to solve data challenges.
  • Have a keen interest in understanding data, data sources, and data generating processes.
  • Create analytical solutions, from data gathering to display; assist in the construction of data engineering pipelines.
  • Establish a common methodology for the use of our data across the organization.
  • Lead discussions and assess the feasibility of AI/ML solutions for business processes and outcomes.
  • With architect’s, implement, and monitor data pipelines, as well as conduct knowledge sharing sessions with peers to ensure effective data use.

Other tasks will include to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and contribute to identifying commercial opportunities rooted in our data. The role will be characterized by a high visibility within the organization and will include presenting insights to other data scientists within the organisation.

As a Data enthusiast you are passionate about solving problems

We are looking for a mix of enthusiasm, knowledge, willingness to share and deeply understand data flows and structures, with problem-solving skills. You have 3+ years in data modelling, SQL, and other data relevant experience. Experience in the banking or finance industry would be beneficial but not essential. Furthermore, you have:

  • You have an education within data or computer science, finance, mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience with working with real-world data. Experience with financial or real estate data is beneficial.
  • Experience with relevant coding and scripting languages (in order of relevance SQL, python, SAS).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English)
  • While not required, experience in git and version control best practices is a bonus.

You also possess networking skills, including being proactive in establishing and reaching out to relationship across the group to solve data-related challenges. We expect you to build an extensive network across Danske Bank group.
