Mainframe Chapter Lead (Birkerød)

This is not easy; hence we are looking for an experienced Mainframe Chapter Lead taking the responsibility of our current Mainframe applications and the chapter members while also providing strong support to the modernisation.

About the Chapter Lead Role:

In the role of Chapter Lead, you'll need to possess deep technical knowledge and the ability to undertake HR responsibilities for your chapter. Your tasks will involve sharing your technical expertise, as well as formulating guidelines and best practices which will enhance the execution of responsibilities by chapter members.

Additionally, you will hold HR responsibilities and serve as a coach to others, demonstrating your ability to lead through servant leadership. Your knowledge of team building and recruiting will be invaluable in this position. Moreover, as a proactive "Doer" in the squad, your role will involve delivering value and demonstrating your willingness to work in a cross-functional squad, eagerly taking on tasks and seeing them through to completion.

The Chapter Lead serves a dual role as a squad member and leader.

As a squad member, you will work on the tasks from the squad backlog and deliver them. As a leader, you will provide your technical leadership and carry HR responsibilities for your chapter members.

Responsibilities as squad member and leader include:

  • Technical Leadership: Define deliverable methodology and quality and ensure compliance with bank's standards and best practices.
  • Line Manager: Set goals, review performance, manage leave and trainings, handle contracts, and participate in planning.

What competencies do we think is needed?

You should hold a degree in computer science or related technical subject area. We are looking for a person that have experience and knowledge in:

  • Programming - PL1, EGL
  • Data modelling, module design, batch design, and interface and API design
  • Software design, test automation, and delivery on mainframe
  • General architecture and domain knowledge
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

It is important that you are passionate about developing standards and guidelines on how a particular craft is put in practice. Furthermore, be a person who are supporting and developing the Chapter members according to the established plan and guidelines. You should be improving and evolving the craftsmanship by introducing relevant industry topics and trends and honing your craftsmanship by participating in the squad's work as part of the squad.
