The Position

As a Primary Packaging Project Manager, you will be responsible for directing project execution by providing clear goals and purpose for the project team, ensuring effective use of time and resources. You will also be tasked with creating and developing project plans and implementing effective systems, structures, and processes to drive the project and ensure clarity and order.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and controlling project work, ensuring the end product stays within scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Negotiating project resources with LoB (Line of Business) management and managing these resources during project execution.
  • Establishing the appropriate project governance together with the project owner, and creating and leading the appropriate organization for effective execution.
  • Reporting project performance to relevant stakeholders and performing integrated change control on the project.
  • Authoring, reviewing, and approving relevant project documentation, and archiving all key project data.
  • Ensuring compliance with NN Quality Management System and PS Environmental, Health, and Safety Management system.

Qualification

To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:

  • An MSc degree in pharmacy, natural science, engineering, or another relevant field with extensive knowledge or 5+ years of experience in the area of tablet primary packaging development for pharmaceutical products.
  • At least 4 years of successful project management experience from leading cross-organizational projects.
  • Deep subject matter expertise within primary packaging for drugs, devices, or food, or drug or device manufacturing, and familiarity with regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in leachables/extractables, requirements/system engineering, safety risk assessment, and GMP material documentation essential for pharmaceutical development.
  • Mapping and improvement of working processes (LEAN).
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

About the department

The Primary Packaging Development team is situated in Devices and Delivery Solutions, a business unit within the global Development organization located in Hillerød in the greater Copenhagen area with state-of-the-art R&D facilities. Devices and Delivery Solutions has the mandate and responsibility to innovate and develop the most innovative delivery solutions for the entire portfolio of Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical products. The unit is comprised of project management, engineering, and technical functions spanning across all competencies required to deliver on a diverse portfolio of drug/combination product and device projects. You will be part of an organization of highly skilled people – maybe the best in the industry.

You will join a growing, and dynamic department consisting of 25 highly skilled and ambitious developers, specialists, and project managers, people who work dedicated to developing and implementing primary packaging solutions in Novo Nordisk. Our department thrives in an international environment, boasting a diverse group of colleagues from across the globe. We have team members hailing from countries such as Iran, India, Spain, Hungary, France, California Colorado, Sweden, Denmark, and Turkey, representing a wide range of backgrounds and age groups.
