The position
As our new Manager for Distribution QA, in the Supply Chain Planning & Logistics QA division, you will lead a team of 7 QA Professionals (currently 5, with 2 more to be hired). The team is responsible for ensuring of the quality of 13 external distribution suppliers, handling the distribution of materials and products worldwide, including between Novo Nordisk production sites, CMOs, and our customers.
They also oversee the quality standards of our temperature monitoring device supplier. This dedicated team ensures rigorous QA oversight, upholds Quality Agreements, and actively engages in auditing processes for all external suppliers.
As part of their daily operations, the team approves transport deviations, transport related CR-cases, transport validations, and QA approves QMS documents. The stakeholders include a wide international network, and the team is in regular contact with stakeholders from various parts of Product Supply worldwide, colleagues from our Global Business Support in India, and numerous external suppliers.
Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure efficient daily operations, while optimizing our internal flow.
  • Ensure that the team meets project, quality, and organizational goals to achieve high performance.
  • Lead and actively participate in board meetings, process confirmation and the structured use of problem-solving tools to identify and eliminate the root cause of errors.
  • Foster a climate of well-being and innovation within your own team and across related organizational departments.
  • Motivate your team to prioritize what is best for both the business and the team and ensure their willingness to adapt to changes and new priorities together with your team.


Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you have:

  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Preferably proven experience as a people leader, who builds trust, drives engagement, and ensures wellbeing in the team.
  • You possess good stakeholder management and communication skills, and you're genuine with strong people skills that help you build trust.
  • Experience with and understanding of GMP or GDP requirements.
  • Preferably experience from the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Fluency in English, with knowledge of Danish as an advantage.

About the department
Supply Chain Planning & Logistics QA is responsible for Quality Assurance and support of Supply Chain Planning and Logistic activities including cold chain distribution of Novo Nordisk products worldwide, production planning across the entire Novo Nordisk supply chain, and data management and governance across Novo Nordisk. The department has 21 employees and is expected to grow in the coming years. We are situated in the Novo Nordisk Headquarter in Bagsværd, near Copenhagen.
In our daily operation we work closely together with Supply Chain Planning & Logistic (SCP&L) – our Line of Business, whom we support in quality matters, are involved in high impact projects, and set quality direction for. You will become part of a management team consisting of three managers and one Sr. Specialist, where we focus on setting ambitious targets for the department and at the same time foster an informal work environment and down to earth attitude, where we support each other and make room for our differences.
