The position
As a Medical Insights specialist, you will play a central and global role in the development and long-term ambition of our newly established Global Strategic Medical Insights department situated in Global Medical Affairs. You will work closely with colleagues within headquarters and regions, covering our entire medical affairs worldwide organisation.


With the growing portfolio of Novo Nordisk, we are looking for a specialist in one of our main core therapeutic areas (Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), Obesity).


The current key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Serve as a medical insights specialist and a point of contact within GMA/MA for one or several of our core Therapeutic areas/key projects, to Develop strategic inputs to TAs/projects (Medical Insights & capture strategy, KITs/KIQs)
• Executing medical insights analysis reports as per request regular basis per TA/projects area, based on current or planned activities and coordinating the sharing of medical insights with medical teams/relevant cross-functional teams in GMA/Novo Nordisk
• Project lead and driver on the development of a global medical insights analytics solution supporting key strategic decisions
• Support ongoing medical insights initiatives revolving around establishing structured processes to enhance the value of medical insights in the organisation
• Act as advisor on Medical Insights aspects for Global Medical Affairs (GMA) and act as the representative in relevant meetings
• Collaborate with Medical affairs worldwide organisation for the orchestration of medical insights
• Pro-actively oversee the external landscape to bring out-side-in perspectives to this newly established unit and ensure innovation in the medical insight space.

Given that the area is still developing, the nature of the role is flexible and may transform to cover another focused project within the unit, there are also projects in building processes and systems to manage and analyse medical insights and how to transform them into actionable insights.


In this role, you will be based in our headquarter in Copenhagen, Denmark, and report to the Head of Global Strategic Medical Insights. The job requires an ability to work independently on complex tasks and lead projects as well as use in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical value chain to support the development of impactful area deliverables.

Qualifications
As a person, you are a strong team player, who is familiar with how Medical Affairs operates and appreciates building relations with stakeholders. A person who enjoys stakeholder relation building, driven by curiosity, and with strong analytical skills. A person who can quickly establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders to collaborate and partner for optimal outcomes.


We expect the ideal candidate to have the following:
• Master's degree in a scientific field
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on Global Medical Affairs
• Proven track record and understanding of medical insights activities (e.g., field medical insights, ad boards, data/insights gathering systems or reporting)
• Expertise in collaborating within cross-functional teams and providing insights to support product development decisions
• Experience in successfully collaborating with stakeholders at various organizational levels, including senior management
• Fluency in written and spoken English

About the department
The Global Strategic Medical Insights department is part of our Global Medical Affairs area within our Development organization in Novo Nordisk. Which is part of our CVP area Medical Portfolio in Global Medical Affairs, comprising diverse departments all working across different TAs and large stakeholder interactions creating value across the value chain.
