The position
You will be responsible for driving cross-functional projects in DS as well as across the broader R&D and Novo Nordisk organisation, reporting to the Head of Strategic Projects in Strategic & Digital Development. Projects are within areas such as defining the strategy, how it connects to the broader organisation, organisational development and sustainability, process optimisations, Digitalisation and change management in a complex environment.

We strive to be trusted advisors to our project owners, and you will be expected to proactively plan projects, drive analyses, shape recommendations, and facilitate steering group meetings. A strong focus on stakeholder management is therefore essential, and the position requires collaboration and alignment with stakeholders across functions and organisational levels, including senior level management.

You will be part of a smaller team of project managers and business partners in Strategic Projects. It is a growing area and there is room to define the position and projects.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:

  • Master in a relevant field combined with 1-3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a management consulting context, pharmaceutical or technology.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a focus on strategic projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical abilities
  • Experience in collaborating successfully with many different stakeholders across functions and at different organisational levels, including senior level management.
  • Any experience with financial analyses and business cases is an advantage.

You have a positive “can-do” attitude and thrive in a complex and dynamic environment. You are proactive, able to work independently and like to challenge status quo and develop new solutions to the challenges we meet.

About the department
Data Science is an area within Development, responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide, from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. In Data Science our focus is to deliver data and data insights through advanced analytics to support new drug submission. We provide insights to fact-based decisions on new drugs and indications for Novo Nordisk product portfolio, which make a difference for the patients.

In Strategic Projects, in Data Science, we drive strategy, digital development and business performance across the Data Science organisation. We support the Data Science Leadership Team in setting the scene, the goals and follow-up of deliverables. We lead the planning and designing of the Data Science strategy, and we drive and oversee implementation. We collaborate and liaise intensively with other areas both within Development and across Novo Nordisk. We are involved in the regular update of our Business Plan and resource/budget planning.
