The Position
As a Senior Project Manager in the newly established R&D Procurement Integration team, you will have the unique opportunity to drive the end-to-end procurement integration process on new R&D acquisitions from due diligence to post-merger integration, but also to shape procurement’s future approach to R&D acquisitions across Novo Nordisk.

The R&D Procurement team support global procurement activities across the full R&D value chain.
Your main tasks in this role will include:

  • Leading the procurement integrations of acquired companies within the R&D organization
  • Defining the procurement operation model and integration strategy and ensuring synergy realisation across the sourcing teams
  • Performing analytics, defining, and executing on integration targets, as well as leading the port-merger implementation during the due diligence phase
  • Defining the synergy realisation roadmap identifying opportunities across Corporate Procurement with an overall responsibility to onboard category managers to execute and ensure deliverables in a timely manner
  • Serving as the main point of contact for other project members for both sparring and mentoring of junior members of the team

You will act as the cross-organisational procurement workstream lead representing Corporate Procurement in integrations, to ensure a strong performance and visibility towards our stakeholders.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in, business administration, finance, supply chain management or similar, with at least 5-10 years of experience within relevant business
  • Great stakeholder management skills and ability to proactively drive change management in a diverse customer landscape, using your leadership skills to influence and impact key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and international mind-set, probably from working in a global organisation
  • Self-drive and ability to create results by motivating internal customers, colleagues, and project teams

Furthermore, we expect you to be curious and have an interest in understanding the value chain in a large organisation.

Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. Corporate Procurement consists of more than 170 employees based in Denmark and India, and globally 400 people work in procurement.
