The role is based in Ørestaden, Novo Nordisk, Denmark and is reporting directly to the Senior Director Finance & Operations.

The Position

As a Sourcing Manager you will be the local sourcing and procurement responsible for Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden, drive effective sourcing processes and support the Regional Procurement organisation. You will also contribute to the Global Finance Vision and Strategy.

Your main accountabilities will be to:

  • Ensure and deliver effective sourcing services in Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden. Deliver contract management on competitive terms for Novo Nordisk

  • Drive effective sourcing processes, identify and execute cost reduction initiatives, support the affiliates by driving effective, compliant, and competitive sourcing processes, and actively engage with sourcing and procurement colleagues in Region NWE

  • Support the regional sourcing and procurement organisation, ensure high quality affiliate sourcing plans with details on addressable spend, support and drive sourcing projects.

  • Contribute to the Global Finance Vision and Strategy of being the best in the global pharmaceutical industry

  • Drive operational efficiencies, understand industrial best practise, and drive the implementation of good meaningful processes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to have Master's degree in finance, economics, business administration, procurement, supply chain management or similar, and several years of working experience within procurement or in the finance area and have preferably a few years of international experience.

To be effective in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Strong functional leadership skills, including an ability to build relationships and trust and to obtain commitment from both internal and external stakeholders across cultures and functions.

  • Solid communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and like to drive complex business projects

  • A strong procurement toolbox, with strong experience in strategic sourcing, managing strategic suppliers and senior stakeholders through a structured approach, and leading supplier negotiations

  • International mindset, work analytically, and communicate clearly in English

About the Department

The Finance and Operations department in Novo Nordisk Denmark is a commercial oriented organisation supporting the Danish affiliate with in-depth market analysis, budgeting, supply chain and compliance. The department consists of an international and diverse group of highly dedicated professionals. The team is characterised by a lot of energy, collaboration, and trust. The team is ambitious, and the pace is high, but the tone is informal and there is a fun and good spirited atmosphere in the department.
