The Position

As our Data & BI (Business Intelligence) Lead, you will drive the development and improvement of data pipelines to enable efficient and sustainable data injection, data processing, modelling and output serving, aimed at providing the forecasting function with reliable analytics tools and reports.

You will be a part of the Portfolio Insights & Forecasting team, thus working closely with forecasters and analytics experts in Denmark and India, in an effort to understand forecasting needs and translating them into data analysis and reporting solutions.

Some of your responsibilities will be to:

  • Design and developing BI tools, reports, and data models using appropriate technologies and best practice standards, as well as monitoring and maintaining the performance of existing BI tools and systems.
  • Conduct data-cleansing, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of outputs and reports.
  • Automating ETL processes and ensuring increased efficiency of data collection, data manipulations and automatization, including back-end optimizations
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data integrity, reporting, and functionality in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within data infrastructure and automations, ensuring most efficient data flows that run smoothly, and stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics.

Qualifications

  • You hold a degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI developing reports or running core ETL processes.
  • IT & Analytics project management and cloud architecture experience. As well, to have solid data management knowledge (especially SQL) is a must.
  • Solid understanding of data flows and data models, with deep experience in data infrastructure, data modelling, data visualization, and dashboard development.
  • Knowledge of Python and Data Analytics will be a clear advantage.

For this position, we are looking for a candidate able to work both independently and in a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines. You will bring great communication skills and ability to explain complex issues in layman terms.

About the Department

Portfolio Insights & Forecasting in Portfolio Strategy, Access & Pricing, focuses on analysing market dynamics, identifying trends/events and forecasting market development across the product portfolio. The purpose is to drive insightful analyses and recommendations that enable fact-based decision making in senior management and among key stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
