The position

As a (Senior) Strategy Project Manager, you will be a vital member in the R&ED Global & Integration team and will be responsible for strategy development and driving M&A integration. You will be involved in analysing and providing strategic recommendations to further develop our R&ED global research site footprint. You will drive discussions with our senior leaders to derive choices which will ensure the strategic fit of global presence with our science strategy in the most vibrant Biotech/Pharma ecosystems globally. In this position you will work across the Novo Nordisk value chain to integrate acquired assets and companies into the R&ED organisation.

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Independently leading and driving strategy projects of interest to the R&ED leadership in close collaboration with project team members across R&ED
  • Becoming a member of the Novo Nordisk integration team and independently leading and driving M&A integration for R&ED

Travel to Novo Nordisk’s global sites should be expected.

The seniority level and responsibilities will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree within biotechnology, engineering, biology, chemistry or have a background as pharmacist, or any other relevant scientific field.

To be successful for this role we expect you to have:

  • Several years of experience in strategy development within pharma or biotech, either from a top tier consultancy or from the industry
  • Preferably solid project management and M&A integration experience
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and manage executive-level stakeholders, providing strategic insights and recommendations
  • Excellent business understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, the R&D value chain and drug development

As a person, you are proactive, approachable, collaborative and able to build trusting relationships at all levels. You are able to provide mentorship and inspire others to achieve strategic objectives. You have exceptional communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to convey complex strategic concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

About the department

R&ED Global & Integrations is part of the area R&ED Strategy, Portfolio & Operations. We are part of the VP area R&ED Integrations, Investments & DK Operations. Together we enable the R&ED organization via strategy development for our global research sites, project management, M&A integration, operational excellence and investment oversight. We consist of approx. 20 talented colleagues, and we are growing.
