The position

As an Automation Engineer, you will play a central role in maintaining and optimising our DeltaV applications, while ensuring stability and support our production lines with your expertise, when they need help for problem solving. If there is a variation in a process, you will be part of the team identifying the root cause and initiating corrective and preventive measures as quickly as possible.

The main tasks will include the following:

  • Support day-to-day operations and contribute to the efficient execution of our manufacturing processes.
  • Assisting with implementing code changes, conducting some of the required tests and producing qualification documentation.
  • Working in close cooperation with the colleagues from across the production, getting to know exactly why and how things do what they do.
  • Handling stakeholder requests and building a broad knowledge of our setup, allowing you to navigate the interconnectedness of systems, processes, and equipment.
  • Joining cross-organisational networks of peers.

When you are ready for a new challenge, we have major projects in our department, that you can become a part of. Upgrade of Delta V, implementing MES PAS-X and Delta V in a sister department and digitalize paper-based processes is among some of the future projects, that you will be involved in.

Qualifications
To succeed as an Automation Engineer, you:

  • Have an academic education within engineering or IT development.
  • Perhaps you are a recent engineering graduate with a strong curiosity for production processes and equipment.
  • Possess some experience and/or understanding of how a virtual IT system is built and run in daily operations.
  • Are fluent in oral and written English (a must) and Danish (a plus).

Having experience with PCS or Scada-systems as well as LEAN tools in a GMP environment is going to be considered a great plus.

On a personal level, you are confident that your fact-based solutions are solid, and always have the argument to back it – making it easy for you to energise your surroundings to help you take your solutions from idea to implementation. You have positive attitude, and you manage to create overview, simplify, and explain complex technical contexts to colleagues with different backgrounds– from operators, skilled workers and specialists with heavy hands-on experience, to quality assurance, inspectors and management. About the department

Our department Digital Data & IT - Product Supply – Biotech & Rare Disease – Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) covers 6 teams supporting the API production, IT Compliance and IT Projects across the area.

You will get the opportunity to join the IT/OT team that supports the production department in Gentofte, Denmark, responsible for producing Glucagon. Our IT/OT Support team consists of 7 skilled and very committed IT and automation engineers, and we are growing. We service an automation system that primarily consist of PAS-X MES system and DeltaV PCS system.
