The position

As Project Manager in Colour and Design Development, you will be leading projects covering the development of printed packaging material designs and colour selection process as well as supporting new design development and life cycle management projects. You will set direction for colour and graphics across functions in the value chain and typically drive, plan, and execute several key strategic projects at the same time. You will drive and support several projects of different sizes and duration simultaneously as well as manage several cross-functional project teams. A colour and design development process normally takes around three years and involves different phases, from project scoping, development of solutions, verification of solution, health authority submission & approval and finally production readiness and handover.

Your key responsibilities will consist of:

  • Managing several complex and strategic projects, from business requirements to implementation and handover, continuously planning and aligning with the overall project key deliverables without compromising on quality
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on the colour and graphic development process and underlying regulatory and business requirements, hence be able to provide convincing arguments, while being able to navigate and drive decisions
  • Collaborating closely with a wide and diverse range of cross-organisational stakeholders, such as Product Supply, Medical & Science, Commercial, Devices & Delivery Systems, affiliates etc., managing many different perspectives across the value chain
  • Participating in and contribute to process improvement projects inside the department and labelling area
  • Taking active part in department related activities such as sharing knowledge, mentoring etc.

You will be working out of Søborg. Travelling activities must be expected.

Qualifications

You have excellent communication skills with a proven ability to network and build trust in your relationships. Furthermore, you can negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders on responsibilities and requirements in a respectful way to ensure that pragmatic solutions are brought forward in a swift manner. Finally, you have a strong drive enabling you to persistently pursue goals and achieve results.

From a successful candidate we expect the following competencies:

  • You have a proven track record with strategic project management and have previously held one or more roles, where you have had to work across EVP organisational areas and geographical boundaries
  • You hold a relevant Master’s Degree, e.g. in Design, Science, Engineering, Communication or similar
  • You have high proficiency in English both spoken and written.


It will be considered an advantage if you have:

  • Experience from working with printed packaging material or with Human Factor Engineering within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Affairs (in particular EMA and FDA) with an interest in and understanding of the global regulatory labelling requirements and associated processes.

On a personal level, you are analytical yet personable, have excellent multitasking, planning and communication skills, which enable you to continuously set direction, keep an overview of the state of progress and prioritize accordingly. You have strong project management skills with the ability to seek strategic solutions to business problems.

About the department

Colour and Design Development is part of Labelling Development in the Global Regulatory affairs organisation. The unit operates in a fast-changing field, that makes a meaningful difference to our business, making medicines available to patients all over the world.

Labelling Development is responsible for the development of printed packaging material designs for all new Novo Nordisk products and life cycle management projects. We also drive the colour selection process, feeding into both packaging material and device development. Your colleagues in Labelling Development will be project leads and a few colleagues with technical skills within graphic design, and you will also work closely together with our graphic design team in Bangalore.
